The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I), 2025, on December 11, 2024. 1. Application Submission
- Start Date: December 11, 2024
- Last Date: December 31, 2024 (6:00 PM)
- Candidates can apply online through the UPSC official website.
2. Written Examination
- Date of Examination: April 13, 2025
- Duration: One day
- Structure:
- Mathematics: 300 marks (2.5 hours)
- General Ability Test (GAT): 600 marks (2.5 hours)
- Questions are objective type and available in both English and Hindi.
- Syllabus Highlights:
- Mathematics: Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Geometry, and Statistics.
- GAT: English proficiency, General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, Social Studies, and Current Events.
3. SSB Interview
- Stage 1: Screening Test (includes Officer Intelligence Rating and Picture Perception & Description Test).
- Stage 2: Psychological Tests, Group Testing, and Personal Interview.
- The SSB interview is conducted over five days and evaluates candidates’ physical and mental aptitude for a military career.
4. Medical Examination
Candidates shortlisted after the SSB interview undergo a comprehensive medical check to ensure they meet the required physical standards.
5. Final Merit List
The final selection is based on the combined performance in:

The merit list determines admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of NDA and the Indian Naval Academy (INA).
