How to Apply for NDA & NA Examination (I), 2025

The UPSC has released the notification for the UPSC NDA examination (I) on 11 December 2024. Candidates who are interested in applying for the job, can follow the below given step wise process.

Process to Apply Online

  1. Visit UPSC’s Official Website:
    Go to upsconline.gov.in.
  2. Complete One-Time Registration:
    • Register yourself on the UPSC portal (this needs to be done only once in your lifetime).
    • Provide all the required information like your date of birth, educational details, and supporting documents.
  3. Fill Out the Application Form:
    • After registration, log in to fill out the NDA application form.
    • Choose your exam center carefully. Changes to the exam center are not allowed later.
  4. Upload Photo ID:
    • Keep a scanned copy of a valid photo ID (like Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID, etc.) ready.
    • This ID must be uploaded during the application process and brought to the exam center.
  5. Pay the Application Fee:
    • General/OBC: ₹100.
    • SC/ST candidates and female applicants: Fee exempted.
  6. Submit the Form:
    • Review your details carefully before submission. Once submitted, you cannot withdraw your application.

Important Dates

  • Last Date to Apply: 31 December 2024.
  • Correction Window: Open from 1 January 2025 to 7 January 2025.

Correction Guidelines

  • Registration Profile Changes:
    You can update your registration profile once in a lifetime, and this must be done within 7 days after the application deadline of your first UPSC exam.
  • Application Form Changes:
    Corrections to the application form are allowed during the correction window (1-7 January 2025).

Additional Information

  1. For Candidates in Service:
    If you’re already in government service, armed forces, or a related field, inform your employer in writing about your application.
  2. Document Submission at SSB:
    After qualifying for the written exam, you must carry your original 10th and 12th certificates to the SSB interview.
  3. Exam Result Declaration:
    Results for the written exam will likely be announced in May 2025.
  4. Active Email ID:
    Use an active email ID for application and future correspondence.
