Syllabus: NDA & NA Examination (I) 2025

The NDA & NA Examination 2025 tests candidates on various subjects to assess their knowledge and aptitude for joining the armed forces.

It consists of two papers: Mathematics (300 marks) and General Ability Test (600 marks). Below is a detailed syllabus of NDA & NA examination (I) 2025.

Paper I: Mathematics (Code 01)

TrigonometryAngles, trigonometric ratios, identities, sum/difference formulas, inverse functions, height and distance, properties of triangles.
Analytical GeometryDistance formula, lines, circles, parabola, ellipses, hyperbolas, 3D geometry: planes, lines, spheres, and angles.
Differential CalculusLimits, continuity, derivatives, applications in maxima/minima, and increasing/decreasing functions.
Integral Calculus & Differential EquationsIntegration methods, definite integrals, area under curves, differential equations (order, degree, growth/decay problems).
Vector AlgebraVectors, scalar and vector products, applications in work, force, and geometry.
Statistics & ProbabilityData representation, mean, median, variance, correlation, probability concepts, Bayes’ theorem, binomial distribution.

Paper II: General Ability Test (Code 02)

Maximum Marks: 600
Part A: English (200 Marks)

  • Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and cohesion in extended text.

Part B: General Knowledge (400 Marks)
Divided into six sections covering Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, Geography, and Current Events.
